Synthetic Infatuation → Lucas Buick + Ryan Dorshorst → synth.tc
Synthetic Infatuation was founded in 2006 by two cool cats that go by 'shorty' and 'tiny'. Actually people call them Ryan and Lucas. They met in the corn and cranberry fields of central Wisconsin as undergraduates. After spending the first couple of years post graduation working for ant farmers and dudes in suits they decided it was time to set up shop. Now they spend their time working with people that are as passionate about the world as they are.

Synthetic is presenting their portfolio of recent work at the Alumni Portfolio Presentation, conducting Save As2 \ Claymation Design Experiment with Amy and Jen.

Erin O'Connor → Alumni ‘06 → website
Erin currently attends UW-Madison for her MA and MFA. The focus of her current work is screen printed gig posters. Though design based, her new work is centered on visually expressing her love for screen printed posters, to find a connection between academic art and lowbrow/street art. There is something visceral about physically pushing ink through a screen onto paper that connects Erin to each piece, and in turn makes each piece a part of herself. She aims to create posters unique to the vibe of a particular band while still maintaining a dstrong visual presence of who she is. In addition to developing her independent poster business, Erin continues to take on small freelance design jobs, and work as the screen print shop assistant where she maintains the screen shop, assist with teaching both basic and advanced screen printing, and assists artist/professor John Hitchcock with his work.
